Come and get to know up close the techniques of wall painting, a technique that comes from both the ancient past of Greece and Europe.
At SINOPIA during a week you can learn and use the techniques of fresco and seco as they did in antiquity as well as in the Middle Ages and Byzantin period. By using natural materials, to prepare the painting surface on the wall and colors which have their original form, we can create works based on traditional techniques.
At the same time, lessons are given on the preparation of painting wooden surfaces (primed wood panels) for the creation of works with the Secco Technique, and with the use of egg tempera and other natural colors.
The drawing could not be missing from these techniques which we learn with the Sinopia technique of capturing every detail on the Fresco or Secco surface.

The Technique of molding and casting a work of micro-sculpture.
There are a variety of materials that can be used in the creation of micro-sculptures, including natural clay, polymer clay, aves apoxies sculpt, wax, and more. Additionally, the creation of molds for the construction of multiple copies of a micro-sculpture project can be done using materials such as plaster, clay, resins, metal, and others. The sand method for creating molds and casting unique copies using metal is a popular technique, as is the "lost wax" method for creating multiple copies of a micro-sculpture project.
We will have the chance to observe all of these up close and create sculpting projects in the workshops that are organized by the SINOPIA art center.
